This program is a continuation from our Competitive F.A.S.T. Program.
Once athletes have completed F.A.S.T. 4, our head provincial coaches will discuss and decide whether they are a candidate for our provincial program.
Gymnasts train on tumbling, full sized trampoline and double-mini trampoline. All athletes are required to complete compulsory and optional routines at their own individual level(s). Athletes and coaches decide together which events athletes compete in, as well as what level.
Our Provincial Program is designed to teach goal setting, and then enable the athlete to work at reaching and achieving them. Our sport is a very individual sport, but athletes experience a sense of team pride and accomplishments. While winning is always a goal, as with any other sport, attention is paid on each gymnast at their level to attain their personal best.
The Provincial T&T Competitive program runs an extra 5 weeks over our regular club schedule allowing athletes to attend the Alberta Provincial meet. At the end of our 20 week program, equipment is moved to the Cardston Ice Rink where athletes can continue training.
It is important to note that our athletes train 25 weeks per year while clubs we compete against train year round. Even with this training difference, our athletes have been able to compete and succeed at high levels.
